Experience Saltstraumen from a RIB—the world’s strongest tidal current, driven by the tides. A natural phenomenon you can witness up close four times a day as the tide flows in and out of Saltfjorden. Continue your journey from Saltstraumen and set out on a voyage of discovery! Perhaps the sea eagle, the coast’s majestic flyer, will soar above you. Maybe it will even come closer?
Before departure, you’ll be provided with a wetsuit, life jacket, and goggles at Rampen Adventure Hub. The wetsuit goes over the clothes you put on before the experience and is windproof. You’ll receive a safety briefing before departure. Wetsuits and life jackets are mandatory for all our guests.
Please dress for the weather and wear footwear that can get wet. During heavy rain showers, you can expect to get wet, so plan accordingly.

The sighting of bald eagles and marine life depends on natural conditions. Dress appropriately for the weather. The tour may be changed or canceled due to weather, wind, or sea conditions.
All activity on a RIB Rampen may involve physical strain, and that such activity are not recommended for pregnant women, people with back, neck or pelvic problems, or people with other health conditions that may be aggravated by physical strain.
Guided tours in Norwegian and English. Meet at the designated meeting point in Bodø. Not wheelchair-accessible; age and health restrictions apply.
