Here you’ll discover around 30 historic buildings that reflect how people lived, worked, and survived over the past 300–400 years. These are not just houses, but complete environments shaped by tradition, nature, and community.
Explore authentic farmsteads like Hammervolltunet and Eidetunet, where groups of buildings show how a Norwegian farm once functioned as a small, self-sufficient world. Step inside interiors that reveal everyday life across generations — from simple living conditions to more established homes.
You’ll also encounter the rhythm of seasonal life, with traditional summer farms (seter) represented by small cabins and hay barns.
