Fish & Fishing Techniques: 
The fjords and surrounding coastal waters offer excellent fishing opportunities for both experienced anglers and guests looking to try sea fishing for the first time in a spectacular Arctic setting. Depending on the season and conditions, you may encounter a variety of sought-after species including Cod, Sei (Coalfish), Pollack, Halibut, Ling, Tusk and, during the summer months, even Mackerel. Throughout the trip, different fishing techniques may be used depending on the target species, weather and sea conditions. Common methods in the area include vertical jigging, slow jigging and spinning with both soft baits and hard lures. During summer and autumn, exciting topwater fishing can also occur when Sei and Pollack are actively feeding near the surface. As part of the experience, guests are welcome to participate in simple catch measurements and data collection connected to our citizen science initiative. While catches can never be guaranteed, we do our best to provide the best possible conditions for a memorable and authentic fishing experience on the fjord.

The activity starts at Styrkesnes Marina in the Sørfold area. From here, the boat heads into fjord and coastal fishing grounds surrounded by northern Norwegian scenery.
