I'm Ben, Polar Chef. I've lived up here for 20 years — from Svalbard to Lofoten. I know the fishers, the farmers, the foragers. The ones who actually live this life. And I want to introduce you to them. You bring your camera. I'll bring the location, the timing, and the story.
Pickup is included. We come to you, build the night around where you're staying, and finish when you're home. From September to March, the sky is the destination. No guarantees — just the thrill of the chase.
Along the way, we visit local producers — Lofoten Seaweed, Tangstad Hvalkjøtt, Lofoten Gårdsysteri, Åland Gård, Lofoten Product, or Ballstad with Nic Haug Fish. It depends on the day. But the focus is always the same: the people, their craft, and their place in Lofoten.
Our Polar Bites travel with us — prepared fresh at Jordbærpikene Café. When the sky opens, we stop. We take it in. We taste the food with the aurora overhead.
This isn't a polished tour. It's a real night in Lofoten. Good food. Good people. A bit of the wild. Chase the Aurora. Taste the Arctic.

Good to know
Dress warmly in layers and bring a hat, gloves, sturdy footwear, and a camera if you would like to photograph the northern lights. A tripod is recommended for aurora photography, and tripod rental and extra warm layers are available on request. Photography guidance is provided by the guide during the tour. The itinerary is flexible and follows the sky rather than the clock, so the route and return time may vary depending on weather and aurora conditions. This tour runs from September to mid-March. Private groups and custom pickup in the Leknes area are available on request. Bookings close 24 hours before the start time.
