Knaben Via Ferrata – climbing with rented equipment / without a guide (Knaben, Agder, Norway)

Knaben Via Ferrata is located near Knaben Gård in Southern Norway. The route is established on the mountain Knabekniben, 786 meters above sea level, and offers easy access, solid rock, and a well‑marked return trail.

The experience begins with a short 10‑minute walk from the main road to the starting point. The first section of the climb takes you about 80 vertical meters up the initial wall, before the route continues along a 600‑meter mountain trail leading to the upper part of the climb.

In the upper section, you can choose between three different final routes with varying levels of difficulty – moderate, challenging, or very challenging. For those who prefer a shorter or less exposed experience, there is a clearly marked escape route after the first climbing wall.

From the top of Knabekniben, you follow a blue‑marked trail down to the main road. From there, it is approximately 1.1 km back to BaseCamp.
