The Alta Canyon is a beautiful hiking destination with fantastic view of the Alta River. Starting from the trailhead at Beskades, the path meanders through unique plateau landscapes and beautiful nature. Reindeer have grazed these lands for hundreds of years and wildlife such as lynx, wolverine, and white-tailed eagle are spotted regularly.

This 13-kilometer hike (return trip) will leave you stunned once you reach the Alta Canyon viewpoint. Standing a hundred meters above the river and gazing straight into the canyon, leaves many avid hikers at a loss for words.

Transport: For guests who are not staying overnight, kindly note that this activity does not include transportation to and from Alta.
