This dog sledding activity takes you through the snowy terrains of Alta, making it an unforgettable day in Norway’s stunning landscapes. Start your dog sledding adventure in the scenic town of Alta. A comfortable minibus will transport you to the charming Gargia Lodge, where warm clothing awaits to ensure a cozy experience.
Upon arrival, expert guides will provide comprehensive training on handling the sleds and working with the eager huskies. Each participant will have the chance to lead their own team of dogs through the stunning Arctic wilderness. For pairs, driving duties are shared, with each person taking turns.
The huskies will lead you through the pine forest near the mountain lodge and across the frozen landscape. Feel the exhilaration of mushing, the crisp Arctic air invigorating your senses. After approximately 50 minutes on the trail, return to the historic Gargia Lodge for a well-deserved rest. Warm up with hot coffee and tea as the guides share fascinating insights into the history of dog sledding and local lore.

Good to know
Minimum age to participate is 8, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Only those aged 16 and up can drive the sled alone.
