Bike & Hike in Ålesund

Discover Ålesund with an active combination of biking and hiking, starting in the city and ending with breathtaking views from Mount Sukkertoppen.

The tour begins at our activity center, where you’ll receive an e-bike and helmet before setting off on a 20-minute ride through Ålesund’s picturesque streets. After cycling along the coastline, the tour reaches the base of Mount Sukkertoppen, where the hike begins. The trail first winds through a peaceful forest before opening up to a broad ridge with stunning views. The summit, at 314 meters above sea level, offers a spectacular 360° panorama, with the Sunnmøre Alps to the southeast, Storfjorden to the east, the North Sea to the west, and Ålesund below.

After taking in the views and capturing photos, the group descends the same way, returning to the bikes for the ride back to the city. A local lunch is included, making this a well-rounded experience suitable for both beginners and experienced adventurers.
