On this tour we will take you on a minibus trip to find the Aurora Borealis. Our Northern Lights chasing tour is accessible to everybody. The tour is done at night-time since this is the moment we can enjoy this show.
Your northern lights chase begins with pickup from the meeting point in Tromsø. Once everyone is on board, your guide will explain how the tour is organized, review the evening’s conditions, and choose the direction that gives the group a good chance of finding clear skies and seeing the Aurora Borealis.
During the night, travel by minibus through the Arctic landscape while your guide shares stories, useful information, and facts about the northern lights. When a suitable place is found, stop outdoors to watch the sky, gather around a fire, and enjoy warm food and hot drinks. Blankets, thermal clothing, and snow boots are available for guests who need extra protection from the cold.
When the Aurora appears, your guide will help you with tips for taking photos and will also take professional pictures of you as a souvenir from the tour. The tour usually lasts between 6 and 8 hours, but the exact duration may be shorter or longer depending on the weather, road conditions, and northern lights activity on the night.
