Hardangervidda National Park Visitor Centre is a government-authorized visitor centre offering interpretation and nature guidance all year round. Hardangervidda is Northern Europe’s largest mountain plateau and Norway’s largest national park on the mainland.
Hardangervidda National Park Visitor Centre is located at Skinnarbu along County Road 37, between Rauland and Rjukan. The centre is government-authorized and provides interpretation and nature guidance throughout the year. We are co-located with the Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre South.
Interactive exhibition
The centre offers an interactive exhibition about nature and wild reindeer.
The exhibition has been very well received and has won three international awards.
VR experience
Experience Hardangervidda up close! VR headsets allow you to get close to wildlife and plant life without disturbing them.

Nature guidance
We are happy to talk about the natural environment, culture, and history connected to Hardangervidda. Visitors are also welcome to join guided walks in the surrounding area. Our nature guide tailors educational programs for groups of all levels.

10:00–16:00, Monday–Friday, rest of the year (September–May)
