Explore the hidden trails of Alta on a three-hour mountain bike tour, perfect for both beginners and experienced riders.
Get a taste of why mountain biking is so popular without spending the entire day in the saddle. You can choose between electric or standard mountain bikes, making it easy to enjoy a trip with friends and family even if you have different fitness levels.
Alta is a mountain biking mecca with a vast network of natural trails and gravel roads. Here, you'll find everything from inspiring "flow" to technical descents and demanding climbs – plus unique plateau riding. However, what the area lacks are signs and updated maps. This is the perfect activity for those who want to experience the Arctic wilderness together and perhaps even discover a new hobby.
The Experience The Alta Valley hides numerous opportunities for world-class trail riding. Some paths are local favorites, while others are hidden gems known only to a few. Our guides know these trails like the back of their hands. We select the routes based on the group's skills; from gentle single-tracks with great flow like Jorra Trail, to more technical routes like Sonja Kristin's Cocktail or Altaelva East. Mountain biking on Raipas offers endless landscapes, while the area around Gakorivannet features exciting "slickrock" riding. Challenges are tailored to the participants! During the tour, we stop at a scenic spot to brew coffee over an open fire and enjoy some snacks.
Who is it for? This tour is ideal for friends or families who want a taste of mountain biking together. It’s also perfect if you're looking for a shorter alternative to our full-day tour, or if you simply want expert tips on the best local trails.
E-MTB & Lunch The tour can be upgraded to a full-suspension electric mountain bike (add during booking for 200 NOK extra per person). Since biking works up an appetite, we offer a lunch upgrade to be enjoyed after the trip. Our Single Track Bar also serves a variety of refreshing drinks.
A local guide (with mechanical skills) will lead you safely through known and unknown paths. Smell, hear, and feel the nature as you breeze through the Arctic landscape!
