Experience the underwater world of Saltstraumen firsthand. Watch the kelp swaying in the current beneath you, see schools of fish, colorful anemones, and if you’re lucky a wolffish. We follow the shoreline, choosing snorkeling spots that keep us away from the powerful whirlpools.
Experience the underwater life of Saltstraumen with your own eyes. Watch the kelp dance in the current below, spot schools of fish, vibrant anemones, and perhaps even a wolffish. We stick to the shoreline and select snorkeling locations that ensure we stay clear of the large eddies and whirlpools.
Everything you need is included in the price: drysuit, fins, mask, snorkel, hood, and gloves. However, you must bring warm clothes to wear under the drysuit, such as one or two layers of wool. During the briefing, you will receive information on how to use the equipment, snorkeling techniques, hand signals, boat entry/exit procedures, safety, and a brief introduction to the marine life you’ll encounter. A guide will accompany you in the water.
Basic swimming skills are required. Please note that we do not dive down; this is a surface-level snorkeling experience. The recommended minimum age is 12 years, as our smallest drysuits are adult size XXS.

You must bring warm clothing to wear under the drysuit (e.g., 1–2 layers of wool) and warm socks. Bring a change of clothes just in case you get wet. Recommended minimum age is approx. 12 years, as our smallest drysuits are adult XXS.
