Have you always dreamed of learning cross-country skiing in authentic Norwegian winter surroundings, or are you looking for help getting back into skiing after a break? Now you have the chance to try Norway’s national sport in beautiful winter scenery, starting from the historic Skistua!

Trondheim Ski Club gives you the opportunity to ski in the historic trails of Bymarka, just outside Trondheim. Take the bus to the final stop at Skistua or drive and park nearby. The bus ride takes only 25 minutes from the city center. Here, one of our friendly and approachable instructors will meet you and help you find the right equipment at the ski rental. This activity is designed for beginners or those who want to refresh old skills. Enjoy a fantastic experience in Bymarka, combining instruction with outdoor activity in fresh air.

Including equipment fitting, the activity lasts approximately 60 minutes. If the instruction inspires you to continue skiing after the session, you are welcome to keep the equipment for the rest of the day and explore the area further in true Norwegian style! The restaurant at Skistua is open most days, offering a warm place to relax and purchase food and drinks—perhaps before heading back out for another ski round before departure.
